Hello! I’m so happy you’re here. I’m Alicia… chef, designer, author and novice urban gardener. I'm rather unlikely in your typical academic spaces, but learning happens everywhere right? Consider my kitchen-classroom a joy space for life-connected learning, guided by a love of nature, foodways and sustainable living.
Project Flourish is my opportunity to honor these beautiful connections. I lead a living arts series, partner with like-minded learning communities to offer home economics enrichment classes and host supper clubs with my hubby (also a chef) + our 4 foodie kids.
I have degrees in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University, Fashion Design from Miami Int’l University of Art & Design and am currently pursuing Education Sciences from the University of Florida. I’m also certified for Plant Based Nutrition, Nature-Based Education and Safe Food Handling.
My hope is that through Project Flourish, learners are inspired to build community, nourish their bodies / minds and establish successful rhythms for life. All the best conditions to thrive!
